How can we achieve this? With your help, of course! We've already made a good start by writing hundreds of guides to regions, cities, and towns, but with your help we can create the kind of guide that you want. After all, it's your opinion that matters most.

• That bar has the best vibe! Bunch of gorgeous patrons too! (wink)

How do I write a review?

Click on the Write a Review link at the top right of any of the listings on the site. You can either click to rate a listing - it'll take you about 30 seconds or, rate and review it. So we can keep our reviews legitimate, if you want to write a review, you'll have to sign in. Not a member yet? Simply choose a username and password, validate your email and you're ready to rock!

Reviews don't have to be long - post a sentence or 2 and let your words become part of the totaltravel.com website!

How long should my review be?

Your review can be 20 to 300 words (or even a little more if its excellent writing).

Keep it short and simple. Always use a good short word rather than an obscure long one. Break up long sentences. Keep paragraphs to one to three sentences as a general rule.

While it's always interesting to hear what happened to you at the supermarket the other day, it's not when you're meant to be discussing the caravan park you stayed at last week.

Regardless of whether you are panning or praising, always be accurate and fair. Fair comment, based on accuracy, is legitimate and within the law. Nothing defamatory, plus it needs to be relevant.

totaltravel.com will not post offensive materials, personally insulting remarks, smear campaigns, or any other content that is irrelevant to tourists. This is not a forum for political, ethical or religious opinions. We will not post questions or comments directed at staff, or other.com reviewers.

Does it have to be about my own experience?

Please refrain from using quoted material from other sources, no material published elsewhere, including other travel sites. We want to know your travel experience, not Harry from Number 42's.

No reviews written by owners, managers or employees posing as guests. No second-hand stories. No hearsay, including rumours, quotes from other sources or the reported opinions of others.

I.e. you can mention in your review that someone told you something, but you cannot say that someone told you something that they heard from someone else.

Will my review definitely get published?

All reviews are proof read by our editor before they get published, and 9 times out of 10 they will. However if a review is found to be somehow defamatory, aggressive, or otherwise offensive it will not be published. If your review is not constructive and would be of no use to travellers it will not get published. Totaltravel.com also reserves the right to edit reviews for length and content.
